Shopify Markets
Knows which catalog and currency a shopper is actually buying from.
Shopify Markets
If you sell into more than one country, the same store shows different products at different prices depending on where the shopper is. Arbyn reads your Shopify Markets configuration, so in chat it knows which market a shopper is in, which catalog that market can actually buy from, and what currency they see. It will not offer someone a product that is excluded from their market, and it will not quote them a price in the wrong currency.
Set up once, then it runs.
Nothing to connect
Markets is part of Shopify. Arbyn reads your existing configuration through the same Shopify access you approve at install.
The shopper's market is resolved in chat
Arbyn works out which market the shopper is browsing from and holds it for the whole conversation.
The catalog is enforced, not assumed
If a product is excluded from that market's catalog, the agent is blocked from telling the shopper it is available. That is a guard in the code, not an instruction in a prompt.
Prices stay in the shopper's currency
A separate guard stops the agent quoting a price from the wrong market's currency.
Why store owners turn this on.
Telling a shopper in Germany they can buy something you do not sell in Germany is worse than not answering at all: they try to check out, it fails, and now you have a support ticket and a lost sale from the tool that was supposed to prevent both.
What it does once it is connected.
- Resolve which market a shopper is browsing from, in chat
- Refuse to offer a product excluded from that market's catalog
- Quote prices in the currency that market actually sees
- Read your per-market tax and duty treatment
In chat, shoppers in every market get answers about the catalog and the prices that actually apply to them.
