The Shopify Admin API is the connection that lets Arbyn take real actions on your store from inside a customer conversation, and because Arbyn is a Shopify-native app, it is on by default the moment you install, with nothing to wire up. Most support tools can only look up an order and then hand it back to you. Arbyn is built on the Admin API, so it can actually do the thing the customer is asking for, and write a record of it to the order.

You approve the scopes
During install you approve the exact permissions Arbyn needs, and no more. The full list is shown before you confirm.
You choose automatic or approval, per action
For each action, you decide whether Arbyn does it on its own or drafts it for you to approve first. Money-moving actions like refunds can stay approval-only.
Arbyn acts, and logs it
When a customer asks for a refund or an address change, Arbyn performs it through the Admin API in the thread, and writes it to the Shopify order timeline.
