Subscription lookup

Arbyn reads the subscription in the thread: its status, the next billing date, what is in it, and your own pause and skip rules.

A subscriber writes in. Sometimes the question is simple, when is the next box, what is in it. Sometimes it is the one that costs you the customer: I want to cancel.

What it does

Arbyn reads the subscription contract itself: whether it is active or paused, the next billing date, the line items on it, and the pause, skip and cancel policy you have set. It answers from the real contract, not from a generic FAQ article.

That is what turns the cancel conversation around. A cancel is very often a cadence problem, and an agent that can see the contract can say so, point the customer at the slower cadence or the skip, and keep the subscriber.

How store owners use it

  • "When is my next box?" Arbyn reads the next billing date and the line items off the contract and answers it, with no human touching it.
  • "I want to cancel." Arbyn sees the contract, recognises the pile-up, and offers the slower cadence or a skip, using your own policy, before the cancel.
  • "Can I skip next month?" It explains your skip and pause rules and points the customer to where they can do it themselves.

The real reason people cancel

Most subscription cancels are not a customer who wants to leave. They are a customer with product piling up in the hallway. Arbyn can see the contract, so it can offer the slower cadence instead of the exit.

What it costs

Included on both plans, Starter and Agent. There is no per-lookup fee and no subscriptions add-on.

It is part of the same $99 flat rate as everything else, and it is free on Starter.

How to enable it

It turns itself on for stores that actually sell subscriptions. If your shop has no subscription contracts, Arbyn does not offer the capability at all, rather than pretending to.

  1. Install Arbyn on your Shopify store.
  2. If your store sells subscriptions, Arbyn registers the subscription lookup automatically.
  3. Set your pause, skip and cancel policy so Arbyn answers with YOUR rules, not a generic script.
  4. A subscriber asks about their plan, and Arbyn answers from the real contract.

The fine print

This is a READ. Arbyn reports the subscription's status, next billing date, contents and your policy, and it guides the customer to change the plan themselves. It does not cancel, pause, or re-bill a subscription on its own, and it does not edit the contract.
